I have a latex mattress and I love it. I have never owned a memory foam mattress but I have had the 3" topper and it did serve the purpose but does break down - I have had this mattress for over 6 months and it shows absolutely no signs of wear, came with a 20 year warrany too and, quite honestly, we ain't little people! It is very comfortable and it is not the one with the topper on it, just the straight mattress.

The memory foam is also nice but there are many grades and it can also sleep hot. Latex has a lot of advantages as well such as being hypoallergenic. Thanks for posting the link to the article on latex mattresses. I am trying to research mattresses, and this will help me to try to figure out what to get.

If you are cold-blooded like me, it feels rock hard and never warms up much. Feels like sleeping on wet sand. It is also hot (even for cold-blooded me). I prefer Latex

Memory foam squishes down like a pancake and becomes useless after less than a month. Memory foam is also VERY hot to sleep on, even without a mattress pad, a thin sheet, and the air conditioner set on 65.
