Thank goodness, so I can get rid of the last of my crappy Thankyou points. I've had it with this rewards program. AMEX cash back from now on for all of my purchases.

Looks like they changed it up a little bit. They are now offering a lot more stores with $100 gift cards for 10,000 points. Previously only a handful had that option such as the Sonystyle, staples, and a few others. Now Sears, Walmart, J&R, Bestbuy all have that option. Good for me, I have over 200,000 points to spend and finally some things that are worth while!

lol amex cashback doesnt give you 5% on Amazon.. so thats why Citis for that.. even though they say 5% POINTS instead of cash.. it calculates to about 2-3% cashback

u kidding ?? 5 pts on amazon by CITI (bullshit) show me ....btw my BLUE CASH GIVES ME 6% cashback on everything (but only after u spend 6K @ 1%..from there on 6% on everything ..that's just from credit card ..referral pts and sites r xtra (It's good for me cuz I pay my car insurance in jan (for whole year) which is about 5K and 1k in other crap likes gas..grocery..internet..and hella other bills lol) ..but yeah if u serious about citi about amazon ..I'll rep if u can gimme link (or paste a screenshot please...)..I BUY HELLA SHIT from AMAZON ..I would love to get extra cash back on top of 6% from Amex blue... I freaking hate citi rewards myself...it's total POS for a bank like citi to have a reward site with no benefit

I'd say only about 1 out of 10 restaurants tell me they won't accept AMEX. It's pretty much accepted in every other type of retail establishment that I've ever been to in the US.

Plus, I have Costco Cash back AMEX, which is even better for travel, restaurants, gas, etc. Nothing beats getting a check in actual dollars once a year. No silly gift cards that stack up on your desk, no waiting for discounts on rewards points. I've shifted all my annual spending onto the AMEX and have given up on cards like Citi Forward.
