London for a week
Heading to London in a couple weeks and I'm trying to do so on a budget (HA!). The plane tickets and hotel have already been arranged so now I have to budget for food/transportation/entertainment.
I know the exchange rate is pretty awful (Always has been?), so what would you say is a DOABLE amount for 6 days in London? I don't mind eating simple things for all my meals. Maybe one nice evening dinner, but being a college student on a budget, it's best to not get caught up in the moment.
I saw the Tube has a 7 day pass which would be great. I've been considering a day doing the double decker bus since it's what everyone raves about. Probably won't pick up any gifts more than a trinkets here and there.
Does anyone think that 300 pounds would last me a week in London?
Suggestions for free/cheap things to do is more than welcome.
