Well it was an estate sale but kind of like a hoarders place. The lady and guy running it said there was about 1/4 of what had originally been in there. I got a big industrial westinghouse fan for $3 and an assortment of telegraph insulators an old glass clorox bottle for $4. My wife got an antique mirror they had priced at $25 for $10. she said she could tell by the glass it was old.

Not sure how much these glass insulators are worth but id never seen a green one before and the 2 blue ones were big.
There were two glass coke bottles that looked old but im no expert, so i didnt even try getting them.
The clorox bottle was brown glass, i think they originally had a stopper (sure i can find one right size to stop it filling with dust)
They had a metal coke holder at a different estate sale they wanted like $20 held 6 bottles ( i was too cheap to buy it)

Many things are more valuable if you just leave them alone but with fans people want to have the nostalgia of the vintage style but also want it to be functional.
The old glass insulators used to be somewhat valuable but the price has gone down over the years unless they are something very unusual. There were just too many of them in use for them to hold their value, although many were destroyed since they make such a tempting target sitting up on those poles.

Some guy on ebay turned a glass insulator into a pendulous light fixture- it looks kind of cool. not sure how you would drill a hole in the top to put the bulb in there.
Give me a big kiss you sexy soldier boy!

Here's one of my finds that is both functional and a cool display item, and I don't think I paid much for it either. It's an older Vice-Grip display board that would have been in a store somewhere. I thought it would be a cool place to keep some of my Vice-Grips organized in my shop. I haven't actually mounted it anywhere yet because the garage is such a mess.
