Pros: The RPG elements are nice in that your 'general' units level, you can pick new spells and skills, and you can equip them with all sorts of nifty things for the battlefield.
The story is an interesting fantasy take on Arthurian legend.
1: Think Total War light. If you require the depth, detail, and realism of combat that Total War has, you will be disappointed.
2: The game is buggy (even with my updated version from Steam). In finishing it last month, I could accurately cause it to crash after 3-4 battles. To combat this, I saved after literally EVERY action on the campaign map. I also would at random quit out of the game to avoid the next battle being the one it would crash after, requiring me to fight it again (sucks bad when you have just kicked butt in a tough battle and it crashes to the desktop.) Restarting the game from the desktop would allow me to fight another 3 to 4 battles. Stupid memory leak!
3: It ends quite abruptly. Personally, I enjoyed the story and leveling elements enough to finish the game. I also enjoyed it enough to not be too upset with the way it ended. If you are the type to get heavily invested in this sort of game (I don't in the Total War games but I certainly do in some shooters and RPGs) keep this last point in mind.
It's cheap and definitely worth $3 as long as you are aware of the problems...
