just applied and approved for this, spend was 5,000 by september
didn't see the $500 GC option for 50,000 points, though, looks like 40,000 points for $200, so 50,000 points for $250 might have been a targeted offer, got it in an email , and no go on the same link when trying to apply for wife right afterwards edit..... looks like the AMEX gift cards were just too expensive, other ones 50,000 for $500 worth! woohoo, thought I'd maxed out my credit lately! Targeted offers are coming in the mail with 75000 points for $500 spending for the Premier Rewards card as well.

I got offer in the mail for 50k points starting and 50k points for spending. Might be on the look out for that.
