Awesome!

Edit: "You will receive the first issue of your magazine in 12-14 weeks. If you have not received your magazine after 14 weeks from the date of your order, please contact us with a Tangagram and we will contact the publisher on your behalf. Sometimes you will get your magazines sooner than 10 weeks however as every publisher is different!

If you ordered a magazine that you already have a subscription for, the publisher will be adding on additional years to your subscription.

Please allow 5-10 business days for your product to ship. Tracking information will be emailed to you separately"

Has anyone ever had to wait that long for their first magazine?

Yup, had to wait for one like 13 or 14 weeks for mine. Got to a point of almost calling but waiting out the full 14 weeks before I finally got it I think on the 14th week.

Others weren't as bad.

What type of content is in this mag? Case studies? POP psych? Etc.

Poppsych written by people who PRETTY MUCH stay within the realm of sanity and empirical findings. Check the website for a sampling.

I have a couple of psychologist friends who looked over my copies at the time and they just rolled their eyes and said that it's pop psychology, but it's a pretty light and entertaining read similar to the Parade magazine insert you get in the Sunday paper.

You might want to check out their website [psychologytoday.com] for excerpts and the general feel of the magazine.

I subscribed through an Amazon deal earlier this year. I think that it was closer to 7 or 8 weeks to get the first one.

YMMV

Basically fluff with a veneer of science. I love it -- it's easy reading and it might get you to think. But it's not investigative reporting or anything.

Thanks, OP, for posting! I just got a letter in the mail today that my subscription is about to expire. Perfect timing!
