Complete Google Voice integration for Sprint Customers (Free number porting, SMS, Cheap international calls, etc.)
Update: The official date for implementation is 4/26/2011: Link [androidcentral.com]
Sprint and Google have agreed to allow simple and full integration between Sprint and Google Voice's phone numbers and services. This will work for smartphones and and standard phones alike. Basically, if you have a Sprint account, you can use your existing number with the Google Voice service without having to void your contract or pay a porting fee (which you have to do from other carriers). If you currently use Google Voice's service, you can now integrate your Voice's phone number directly with your Sprint phone without any tinkering or even needing to install the app (although you probably should anyways). This may not sound like a 'deal' at first to some, but if you are a Sprint mobile customer, there are several reasons why this news can save you money:

EDIT: Many people are concerned about the ability to receive MMS messages if they convert their number to a Google Voice account. According to Sprint's FAQ [sprint.com] section (Thanks Bubi73)

This may not sound like a 'deal' at first to some, but if you are a Sprint mobile customer, there are several reasons why this news can save you money:
- Free number porting to Google Voice (normally $20)
Before it required a somewhat awkward step in-between cellular contracts, which is something most of us aren't used to, and a $20 fee. But now, Sprint customers don't have to break their contracts or pay a $20 for this service as others do.
- Free text messaging using the Google Voice app on Android or iPhone
If your phone can receive the Google Voice app, you can now make SMS messages with your actual number for free. You'll have to use the Voice app to generate the messages, but I find this interface to be much better than most stock SMS managers anyway.
- Incredibly cheap international calls straight from the phone (no app necessary).
Google Voice's international rates are very similar to Skype's, but now you won't have to use an app or find WiFi service to make cheap international calls. This is especially important for non-smartphone owners why don't have the ability to use a VoIP service. Now you can call most of the world for a few cents.
- All the additional benefits of Google Voice
- Route calls from your Google Voice number to any other phones (cellular or landline) that you want.
- Manage Voicemail and Text Messages Through Email.
- Set up "Do Not Disturb" rules.
- Block unwanted callers.
- Send Text Messages Through Your IM Client.
- Record incoming calls.
- Generate and receive calls from your computer.
- So many more features to list...

Quote : MMS sent from your Sprint phone will always display your Sprint number and will not display in your Google Voice inbox.
