Deal Details

Went to Lowe's last night in Delavan, WI, looking for wood blinds for my kids rooms.

They had almost ALL of their Allen & Roth blinds on sale, "marked" 25-50% off. I found some white (faux wood--30 inches wide) for $11.70..originally $46. They also had 39 inch wide ones for $14.40, in both white and honey oak. These were on a clearance cart, towards the front of the store.

The only "catch" per se is that they will NOT cut clearance blinds. You have to cut them yourself at home.

Still a great deal! I went in, expecting to pay $90 for 2 sets of blinds and paid a little over $23!

Awesome. I just bought a house and was dreading having to buy blinds. Now I'll be good.

Since it is a Lowe's brand, I would think that you could buy the blinds and return at a later date to have them cut, "forgetting" your receipt on the return trip. Not cutting clearance blinds is silly since it takes all of 30 seconds for them to do it.

so basically i would have to get the perfect width but just a longer length and "cut" them shorter at home?

I thought the same thing! My husband was pretty mad....what should it matter if they were full price or not? I still paid for them!

I'm thinking I might even take them to a different Lowes and have them cut.

We bought a wider width (30) and only need them to be 29 and 28 3/4 (polish builder, what can I say?) My husband was going to cut the width down, but I think I might just wait and get them cut later at Lowes.

Were there any other sizes at this price, do you remember?

Any other widths (other than the 1.5")?

Thanks! I needed a set for DS's room.

I bought some rugs at Lowes' on clearnace. Exactly same rugs in other Lowes (5 miles apart) were NOT on clearance.

I guess clearance is REALLY YMMV Smilie

They also had 31 and 39 ($14.40). Their fabric blinds were also on sale. The entire "Allen and Roth" section had a sign, stating they were 25-50% off. Obviously, some were more than that!

I hope you find what you need!

I saw the 1.5 cordless/wandless variety at the Springdale, OH (Cincinnati) store, although they were almost completely cleared out...just one 27" white and one 30" remained. They did have quite a few fabric Roman shades left, however.

You will likely find their 'matchstick' and bamboo style roll-up shades on clearance, as well. S-I-L needed some 24" wide and found just what she wanted for about 1/4 reg price.nod
