Yes it will work as a computer monitor, you probably need a HDMI to DVI cable you can get a cheap one from monoprice/ ebay/ amazon. Unless your video card have HDMI out, then you can just hook it up hdmi to hdmi.

edit: You can also use an adapter, one usually come with the video card if you buy them separately.

I ordered the 199.99 720p version over black Friday. picture was decent but ended up selling it and keeping the 200 lg deal instead. My biggest complaint but not sure if it would be effected in this model but the sound was super loud on just one volume click. and the menu was overall simple.

All LCD TVs have the VGA ports.
Just make sure to use the Audio Aux cable (3.5 mm M-M) to connect to PC Audio out and TV Audio in jacks or else your audio will come from the Laptop/PC speakers.

You're right, it does have a PC input (VGA) on this LCD. Thanks for pointing that out. But you should be using the HDMI/DVI connection for the native 1080p and it will look better than VGA.
