tu. This printer is a beast. I've done quite a few prints and still running on the starter cartridge. Highly recommend over any ink jet.

for the avg user the starter cartridge should last 2-3 years.

for the power user the starter cartridge might only last 6 months.

the cartridge has a plastic plug about the size of a nickle that can be pulled out to refill with toner that costs $6-7 a bottle vs. $45-50 for a new cartridge. this can be done 3-4 times before the cartridge starts streaking.

oh thats just their way of circumventing you from adding a cheap filler to avoid the under $50 delivery fee.

just get the labels like 68droptop said, then you have a printer and label for $40 AR.

the print itself is worth $50 towards a trade in.

yeah.... i guess that's true. i've been doing rebates for too many years; paperwork hanging out in my desk drawer... just too much for me to deal with, today.

but, as i mentioned, i was on a mission. a $40 printer would have been better than a $60 printer, but maybe she'll make up that difference with a toner cart from meritline.
