That's a great idea 'Mouse. The truth: Management at IRS can blame themselves and how they have chaotic and poor management, but God-forbid you, or I, or anybody else in America gets audited and doesn't have their ducks in order and s***-together, your ass is going to court or jail.
Shout out to Congressman Mike Kelly for stating it as it is... Link [realclearpolitics.com] |

Homers. I agree 100% with you. This is the obvious plan for the smart people. The problem is that we have a lot of dumb and/or selfish and/or weenie people in the state.
I'm tired of being asked to "compromise" and pay more taxes. The last tax increase was 2 years long and is expiring soon. Thank goodness we voters in the special election [ballotpedia.org] in 2009 chose NOT to extend it two more years. It did nothing but to kick the can down the road and our debt / liabilities are growing. It's like trying to put a band-aid on a wound like this: ![]() Why any taxpayer of CA thinks more taxes makes sense is beyond me. But it really p*sses me off.

Because the people that will have to pay it, are outnumbered by those who won't........

In 2008 the wife and I paid over $30K in personal CA Taxes excluding sales taxes (property, DMV licensing fees, income tax, etc) and another $15k or so in corporate taxes between our 2 companies.
For 2010 we paid just over $9k in personal taxes and the minimum $1600 for 2 S-Corp taxes. If CA politicians want to act like spoiled children and put their fingers in their ears then I'll treat them as such. I wish everybody in CA would buy from Amazon and purposefully neglect their use tax (yeah like anybody other than corporations pay use taxes). Personally I find it hilarious how people in Florida are able to buy an LCD for $95 shipped from Newegg and I live 6 minutes from Newegg and would have to pay around $125 for the same item. If that doesn't spell stupidity to anybody with a basic business background I don't know what does. I'm just finding my life more enjoyable having cut back from working 90 hours a week and feeding the beast to working just weekends and getting my household income low enough the mortgages cancel out tax obligation. I love how the R and D parties carry no distinction in this state - those 5 Rs meeting with Jerry 2 days ago to "discuss" a compromise at a huge lobbyist whorefest. This will be funny to watch Jerry backtrack on his promise to take the tax vote to the people. Sure they vote for a high speed rail system to serve people going from Bakersfield to Fresno but when they see their IPOD costing 10% in Walmart than Amazon I think they realize they would rather not pay any more taxes. "The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.” - President Barack Obama

(BTW: when I first read that, I immediately remembered my early days on the Podium where you and a group of your merry friends would pile on me and so I often referred to the group as a gang. )
