You can do every year but only after 365 days of last report

http://redtape.msnbc.com/2011/04/...cores.html
The vast majority of lenders use a three-digit number called a FICO score to make lending decisions. Developed by Fair Isaac and Co., the FICO score takes data from credit reports maintained by the nation's three credit bureaus -- Equifax, Trans Union and Experian -- and boils it down into one three-digit number for each bureau report to provide a quick assessment of a consumer's creditworthiness. All consumers in the system have an Equifax FICO score, an Experian FICO score and a Trans Union FICO score.

The credit scores that Experian sells to consumers, however, are not the Experian FICO scores, the lawsuit contends. Instead, subscribers who sign up for a $14.95 per month service at FreeCreditReport.com get access to a similar three-digit number developed by Experian using its so-called PLUS Score model. While the value is meant to give consumers a sense of their creditworthiness, Plus Score ratings are not sold to lenders, and are not used in lending decisions, the lawsuit alleges.

It's unclear how much the Experian FICO score and the PLUS score can vary. But that is immaterial to Woodward, who says Experian intentionally blurs this distinction in its advertisements.

This is your invitation which is 12 months from when you last looked at your experian report through Amex. Everybodys 12 month anniversary is going to be different. If you try to do this before it has been 12 months you will get this message "We hope you enjoyed your credit score & report. Look out for your anniversary email advising you when you can again access your annual complimentary credit score & report."
New users can use the link, otherwise just wait for your own email.

You can get your report for free any time you want to from Experian without going through Amex if you are creative with the adverse action requirement:

Nice, that was quick and easy! Every time I get a free credit report it never shows the actual score; they always want $ for that. Nice to finally see it for free.

I did a refi on a mortgage and one of the credit scores they pulled was from Experian, they also pulled credit scores from other two largest agencies to compare.

Thumbs up but because I froze my credit it was unable to pull my report online. I'm now awaiting snail mail to complete the process.

You should try not to check your credit just for the heck of it. More than 1 time a year and it starts to lower your credit score.

Anyone can get a Free copy of their credit report once a year by using www.annualcreditreport.com from the three giant credit information companies.
I get one report every four months from one of the companies to keep current on what is on my report. Other sites will charge.

True, but you can't get your credit score that way. All major credit bureaus have charge for score. creditkarma provides free TransUnion FACO score and ask for your info to spam you with advertising.
