the level of fascistic Big-Brother type oppression is getting infuriating...I doubt even the Nazis, Romans, Red China / USSR or any other oppressive government (other than Islamic theocracies) one can think of has deigned itself the authority to tell people what to eat and what no to eat !!! Even the Islamic theocracies ban what is banned by the religion (pork, alcohol), not dictate calories per drink, type of popcorn, size of muffins, etc.

My question - what right does an employer have to dictate what you eat? I could understand if they were limiting the food choices provided by the employer (e.g. company functions), but if I bring in a 100 oz Dr Pepper, some fries and a bacon cheeseburger for lunch, can they *legally* tell me "no"?

Except, in the government's case, I think they may be running afoul of the First Amendment here... Last edited by redmaxx; 04-05-2011 at 12:42 PM.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost Steve Gibson on password policies [grc.com]: I mean, I don't get this change it every eight weeks. ... It's not as if passwords are traveling by camel after they've been stolen, going to the bad guys, and so there's, like, some weird eight-week window, like, oh, we're going to change your password so that the stale password no longer works. ... And all this does is make IT people despised because users, who are not dumb, they think, why am I - why do I have to do this? What problem is this solving?
