Best way to find the value of a car
Found a 2005 focus supposedly in pretty decent shape, manual, 71k miles, base trim (S) plus A/C as far as I can tell. Looking for private party value.
Put that in blue book and I get $5500 for for "good" condition.
Put it in edmunds and I get $4600 for "clean" condition.
If I check good/clean trade-in for blue book and edmunds so I can compare with NADA I get
NADA $5075 for "clean trade in"
Blue book $4100 for "clean trade in"
Edmunds $3,647 for "clean trade in"
It looks like NADA is assuming more standard equipment options, but which is more likely to be right about those options, and how is there still such a huge difference between blue book and edmunds?
What do you use or think is most accurate?
