I guess I should put a bit of disclaimer here. If you don't know what you're doing, it might be a bit safer to take this to a mechanic. You can cause damage to your a/c system if you don't know what you're doing.

That's a great price if you can find it. The additives won't make you all that popular if/when you have to finally get your car serviced professionally.

BigLots sometimes has the normal sized unadulterated R134A cans for 45 each, but they never last long.

If anyone wants to learn about doing your own AC work on your cars or has questions, the best resource I've found is the Auto AC Forum [autoacforum.com].

The experienced people will tell you that there are no shortcuts. I've found a few that have worked for me in special circumstances, but I guess a slogan like that should work for most people.

To make this slicker... 134a has been skyrocketing in price in the past couple of months... You'll see the increase in these consumer products (including duster) soon....

If you've owned your car for 10-15 years, have never had your A/C recharged and it seems "not-as-cold" as it used to be; this may work for you.
If you need to do this every spring to make it through the summer, then you have a leak. You are releasing this stuff into the atmosphere if that is the case. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, that is for you to decide. Also, if you can't tell the difference between the high side and low side A/C ports on your car, you should not use this!!

I just picked up 4 cans in Tulsa OK (71st and 169). $5.57 each. Ther other stuff was $10-$20. I need to fix my AC on my truck and this will help keep that cost down. Thanks!

I loaded up on those last summer when they had the deal and the big cans with the gauge are best as you can check the charge/pressure and see where it at and also shut off the can if you don't need all of it, or use it to use the smaller cans too.
It worked great for my 95 Neon and brought it right back up to pressure with nice cold air from luke warm before hand. The fitting was kinda hard to get locked onto the proper port but once I got that it was good to go so be careful of that or you might waste part of whatever charge is left in your system now.
I don't know if mine has a leak as the cars pretty oldish now but it didn't seem to loose any temp using it last summer so it's up to you to decide if you want to try this stuff.
If you want a better setup hit Ebay and maybe harbor freight for a better system that has real metal fittings, gauges, and can recover the leftovers if you have a proper recovery tank to use.

I could not find this in my local stores. It's $12-$13 for a 12oz can at WalMart, and higher in auto parts stores.
