***NOTE****
Many of us have already received the card and activated it. Then, 4 days later received a letter in the mail stating that "You are not eligible because you have participated in a promotion in the past". Wait at least a week before you activate and start using the card. Otherwise, its going to be difficult to ask them to remove the $95 annual fee if you decide to cancel.

Do not do this the miles are a waste of time they have almost no dates available with huge gaps in days. Even on partner airlines.

You will get your 100k miles and hate you self for even bothering with the effort.

To India its $700 plus 100k miles with no good travel dates even 3-4 weeks in a row.

You cant find anything decent.

You can use the miles with AA to fly in the states. Very useful.

Um, totally disagree with the above. Definitely bother with this!
I had no problem booking with my reward miles. NYC to Buenos Aires. 40k miles and about $60 roundtrip.

Used 200k miles to fly direct from California to
Maui on Alaska Airlines during summer for 5
people. Well worth it.

Oh, paid $10 in taxes per for a $700 RT ticket each

There is hardly anything available on AA. You have to have a lot of free time.

I did it last time and getting the redeem-one-get-one free for spending $30 in a year is pretty amazing. My wife and I are going to Greece business class! But we have to pay fees on both tickets and it came to around $1K....

Another note, I only see a banner on the site for 50K miles....

UPDATE: all I had to do was login to see it.

You may not be searching right... both British and American have excellent availability, especially in premium cabins. Cathay may require more flexibility but still great options. And don't forget Air Berlin will be joining the alliance soon.

This is a truly excellent offer, I'm glad Chase brought it back.

I dont see a mention of the 100K on the application. Is there a way to confirm? I recall people called for the AA 75K promotion last year. Do we have to call for this as well?

Miles are have a different value for everyone because there are so many varying factors when it comes to reward seats. I got in on this deal last time around and I had absolutely no problem finding flights with AA. I flew in and out of major hub airports and got easily 3 cpm for domestic economy travel. 100k miles at 3cpm is fantastic for a credit card sign up bonus. But, of course, YMMV. Literally.

So the 100k miles could be used solely for domestic travel with AA? That would be sweet if you can get 12.5k mile seats each way. Dumb question, what is cpm?
