I agree, I love the wired illuminated, that's what I have. My problem is I want wireless, and it looks like the uglified the wireless one.
With this one, no illuminated, but no batteries is nice.
I have rechargeable batteries so I am set there. I mean I don't mind the wired because I have two seperate machines. One connected to my 32in HDTV (HTPC) and one connected to my 23in LED Monitor (Gaming Machine). The gaming rig has the wired stuff obviously.
Maybe it's just me, but "any light source keeps your keyboard charged for at least three months in total darkness" means you're good to go as long as you're paying your electric bill.
Nah, I don't think the solar panels will be that useful. Just a gimmick if you ask me. Replacing a battery even every three to six months is not that bad anyway for regular wireless keyboards.
I would rather go with the illuminated wired keyboard with this money. Or just a regular wireless, or bluetooth keyboard if it's for a laptop with built in bluetooth. I've been using microsoft BT keyboard 6000 (which was $2 after rebate couple months ago) for my laptop. I absolutely love it.
It is only a gimmick if you never tried it. Great reviews on Logitech's website also. I got in on the same $60 deal from BB and it is the best keyboard I have ever used. Like the guy above, I also haven't been below 95%, but there is a window in my office. Like it was mentioned b4, it charges off any light source.
