Knowledgeable PC Gamers Please Chime In
What do you knowledgeable pc gamers think?
I am a noob to pc gaming and humbly ask for your opinions. I bought a pc with these specs:
AMD Phenom X4 9650 Processor
8 gigs of ram
640 gig hard drive
NVIDIA GeForce9100 graphics - I'm guessing this is a built in video card?
Windows 7 is th 64 version
It was an Office Depot bundle from black friday 2009 I am looking get a better video card WITHOUT having to replace or upgrade any of my pc's other parts aka power supply. Kinda want to get something that could play games for a while without having to upgrade. I"m not looking to play the newest games on the highest settings, just.... well right now its just Street Fighter 4, Battlefield 2142, and Battlefield Play 4 Free but when I get some more games in the future I dont want to worry about not being able to play them. A friend recomended the GT 240 but there are so many versions of it, not really sure which one to get. So the question is which 240 do I get or is there another card that I should be looking at, and I was going to buy from newegg unless you guys can recommend someplace better. I meant to get one last year but never got around to it. On a seprate note since i upgraded to windows 7 from vista punkbuster keeps kicking me from Battlefield 2, some sort of communication error, anyone have any experience with this? I do appreciate all your thoughts.
Thanks in advance,
George
