These were never "regularly" $59.95. I doubt there has ever been a single pair sold for that price anywhere.

I can find them on ebay for 12 either in black or silver

These are really good and have decent sound, but the cord is short if you wear your MP3 on your hip. If you wear it on your arm then you should be alright.

I've had a pair of J3s, both for my mp3 player and the headset for my blackberry. I have to say that these fit much better than the J2s. The J2s would always fall out of my ears when running. I think it is because the body of the J2s was straight, and the curved body of the J3s lets them sit snugly in my ears. Everybody's ears are a bit different, but these are the first in ear headphones that I have had that stay put so long as the chord doesn't get snagged on something.

On sound quality: I am no audiophile, so take this with a major grain of salt. But I do very much enjoy the sound quality of the J3s. I just can't justify spending loads of cash on headphones when I am unskilled in telling the difference between good and great. I use these headphones to drown out people in my office so I can work and when running. So, you know right there I am not sitting down in a quiet room with them to try to get the most out of Mozart.

I can say that these headphones work great for me, and probably as good as any other headphone considering my type of usage.
