Target (in store only) has Brightboxe DLP Projector By Texas Instruments on clearance for $89.99, it was originally $179.99.

You can search in the inventory checker near your zip or city. http://sites.target.com/site/en/s...NM=Primary

I've originally purchased one at target last year and thinking that a projector for $180? must be junk. Because I've heard others purchased the discovery projector for $99.99 at FYE or even lower at other stores. Needlessly to say, I got it out of curiosity because I've never heard of this brand before. When I turned it on at home and aimed it at my white wall and connected my dvd player to it and BAM!

My movie... It's alive!!EEK! at 80 inch screen.. 100 was kinda blurry. I was more than pleased with the quality (for the money), and decided to keep it. I mainly used it for movies and hooked my laptop to it, haven't really tried it with games yet.

Of course, there are pros and cons. It uses composite connection (vomit), it'll do but don't expect HD, watch a regular non action film is not bad though. It has builtin 15watt speakers... vomit one more time. I used my audio connection to my surround sound speakers instead. VGA connection was much better option for me to watch movies and of course using my computer 5.1 speaker system. This projector is very light, I can take it to my living room, bed room, bathroom, no problem.

I don't have a video demo but here's a video on youtube that may help you decide before purchasing.

Since I was pleased with my first one, just got my second one. For less than $100? It's like my milkshake brings everybody to the yard.

I've heard the original name for this projector was supposed to be Ye Olde Brightboxe.

I wish EEK! then I'll be singing bird [youtube.com] all day.

Also there's the bic comfort 3 - 4 pack at target on clearance for $3.77, if you have your sunday paper. It has a coupon for $3 off on any bic comfort - 4 pack. Which makes it $.77 after coupon. EEK! Bird.

Without keystone correction I'll stick to my trusty Sony CJP-200 which does not have it either. It works for showing cartoons on the ceiling to my son, although, I wish the keystone effect was not as pronounced... ba-ba-ba-bird is the word.

Thanks for the heads up on this! I've been wanting to try my hand at building a multitouch table but didn't want to dump a grand into a good short throw projector to find out I can't get it working. Much appreciated!

Also way better deal than the ~$150 600x480 projectors you see all over ebay.

I stopped at the Target near me in NE Indiana. Still marked $125 on clearance here. Box reports 40 lumens by LED DLP.

Was just at Target locally and it rang up $124.99. Call and check your local Target. After speaking to a manager it seems that they do not price match - EVEN TO ANOTHER TARGET STORE. Whenever they go on clearance for a store, it's specified to that store.
