Ugh, I hate that Rockstar Games spreads their preorder bonuses literally *everywhere*. This thread will start to get good on a month when everyone starts competing, thank you!

I preordered the 360 version from Hastings, but that deal is long dead. I just read that the PS3 version, regardless of where you get it, will have a mission that isn't in the 360 version - it may be old news, but I hadn't known. Also, it isn't definite yet, but K-mart will most likely offer a $20 game coupon with purchase in-store during launch week (not a pre-order deal, though).

In terms of pre-orders, GameStop seems the best. While the other suits give damage-resist/melee (Amazon) or sharpshooting (BestBuy) bonuses, the “badge pursuit challenge” gives you a case, an orb-hunt (er, I meant badge-hunt), a suit (extra ammo), and 4 extra hints when you’re stumped. Walmart’s case would be 2nd-best, though, since a car-racket case would be a nice diversion from the seemingly-usual murder beats.

What kind of game is this? I've tried to find more information about game play if there is a lot of gun fights and stuff or is it more of an investigate and keep track of information game. The reason I'm asking is I was thinking about getting this for my 63 year old father who has an XBOX and would probably love this kind of game if it didn't turn out to be a shooter or something that requires decent reflexes. The video's and photo's all look like its an investigation game but its hard to tell with what they show you these days.

Does anyone know?

Can't wait for this game to come out. Last game I bought at launch was gta iv, and I may just have to buy this too. Hoping Amazon sweetens the deal since I have a lot of credit there.

I hate developers when they pull this exclusive pre-order crap. I remember Dragon Age Origins had lots of "free dlc" pre-orders that differed depending on where you bought it. I got the deluxe collectors edition or w/e from Steam and didn't have content that others who bought it from gamespot had, yet people who pirated it got all the content... so they ended up with more content than those that purchased the game.

Knowing I will be missing content makes it hard to want to pre-order and not wait for a big sale (hopefully a GoTY edition with all the content, or patched in)
