The problem is it is a USB 2 and the price is not great. I understand that this is a WD, but you can get 2TB Desktop 3.5" for much cheaper. The Staples option you just edited in may be possible to recreate. Overall not a good deal, but just in case Staples PM works I removed the TD. 1.5TB for $18 Freedom in capitalist society always remains about the same as it was in ancient Greek republics: Freedom for slave owners. Thanks... Sorry, I realized later that it is actually USB 3.0/2.0... As Western Digital says for all its My Book Essential drives: USB 3.0 plus USB 2.0. A single drive with universal compatibility today and next-generation speed for tomorrow. Use it with USB 2.0 now and step up to USB 3.0 speed when you're ready. For some reason, the product title just said USB 2.0, even though description says USB 3.0 plus USB 2.0... |
