I called the number in the OP and followed instructions. The CSR said it will take 10-20 business days to get check. She did not ask why do I want a check. Just asked me to call back in 2 days to get a claim number. Not sure if it makes a difference.

there's another option instead of waiting/talking to customer service.
https://squareup.com/ You can get a free card reader. I think it's like a 2.5ish percent fee. So if it's a big card, then its not worth it , but if it's like a $20, you get 19.50 in your bank account without any hassle/waiting. |

I always call CSR and request cheque.
Main issue with card, we need to know balance if partially used. Since i use Mint, I want to keep track of these rebates. When i have cheque its easy to mange. |

Also just did this. Did the call about a week ago, said check would be here in 10-20 days. We'll see how long it actually takes.

Just paid my Ebay bills with the Amex ones that I get from rebates. Normally, Ebay just take cash out of my account so I prepaid ahead of time.

You can also get the refund deposited via ACH in 15 business days rather than waiting 20 days for a check.
