Solar powered pump for 3 foot high Water Fountain

I'm looking for a solar powered pump that is strong enough to shoot water 3 feet high (most are 30" or less) without breaking the bank. Can anyone who has experience with this recommend a good model to get?

Since no one's been able to respond, anyone know of any good forums where I could post this where I would be able to get my answer? Thanks in advance.

Are you wanting a pump that can raise water to the top of a 3 ft. high fountain, or do you actually need a 3 ft. high vertical stream? It will probably depend on the diameter of the stream you need as well. And your height/pumping power is probably going to vary depending on how much sun your panel is getting.

I purchased a solar fountain pump a few years ago from Silicon Solar [siliconsolar.com] a few years ago. It was a 9 volt panel with a battery backup that powered it at night. It came with several attachments, and with the right attachment funneling to a small stream it would easily shoot up over 3 feet. Never tried pumping water to the top of a large fountain though. I was just using it in a small pond fountain. This is the actual fountain I purchased Solar Night Fountain [siliconsolar.com]. You should be able to get the actual specs there. They have it on clearance right now for $36, which is pretty cheap considering a paid about $120 a couple of years ago for it.

If you're considering this fountain though, one thing I will tell you is that it will run after the sun goes down, and then shuts off automatically when the battery runs out, but it does not turn it self back on again when the sun comes up. So you have to physically turn it back on ever morning, unless you get enough charge that it runs all night, which was very rare. I thought it was pretty poor design/engineering.

Thanks so much for your post, this definitely helps. Unfortunately in my case the fountain itself is 3 feet high, which makes things a bit tougher. The pump you posted states it has a max lift of 1-2' so it is probably a no-go for me. However I will certainly check out the website and see what I can find. Thanks again!
