Good list. AbeBooks is especially good as it is a listing website for all of the independent bookstores around the country to use. A good way to help keep the little guys in business with B&N and Borders popping up on every corner.
Happiness and depression are both feelings, just like joy and anger. It's not feelings that give us problems. It's what we do with them that makes the difference.

These lists have been on here before...and of course we all just keep adding to them.
OP, it would be nice if you could take all of the other links that have been posted on here before and make up one huge list...Alphabetical of course. Then, it would be nice if SD maybe created a Sticky with all of the College Bookstore websites. (sorry, I'm too busy!(aka-LAZY)) Seems like there is a lot of folks who buy books and visit SD! Here's my list of College Book Web Sites to visit that I posted back in Feb - most are dups of the OP's - some are not. BTW, I want to throw a SLAM at one site...Powell.com screwed me over this past summer semester. I needed a book they had listed and paid extra for 2 day shipping - it showed up 7 days later...and to top it off...it was the wrong book. After calling them, they did search their warehouse for the book and could not find it...I ended up being late with my first set of assignments and ended up a week and a 1/2 delayed getting my book. Luckily for me, I found a seller on half.com that was able to ship me the book priority mail and I got it rather quickly. Anyway, just wanted to get my diggs in on Powells - THEY SUCK! Gee, I feel better now! |

I wonder how they came to the $60.00 per class fee for bunch of 1's and 0's in electron speak...that seems kind of outrageous!

free book
After you go to this website just for signing up you receive a free book... heck of a deal! |

There's also www.Paperbackswap.com. Great site for "free" book exchanges. Some textbooks there, but really good fiction and nonfiction as well.
