Well I own another cross cut shredder from Staples, it cuts about an inch long and half centimeter cuts, which I believe is pretty good for security. Granted, higher the price, higher the quality, but not so bad for $45 for a good Shredder.

I have been using Staples 6 sheet cross-cut shredder, and it is pretty well made. Mine says "for light home use, about 20 pages", but I am using it sometimes even to go over 50+ pages. Only thing I have to be careful about is that mine will start to smell a bit after I try to shred more than 30 or so pages one after the other. I just wait to let it cool, and start again!

Just got my 12 sheet shredder. Almost spent the extra 10 to get the 15 sheet...but this boy is a BEAST! I read that this was actually a high speed shredder, and in essence can shred more pages per minute than the 15 sheet shredder. I'm so glad I got rid of my weak @** Sams Club shredder. I've been on a shredding frenzy since I brought this thing home!

The top is extremely heavy, so maybe that means good quality? I don't know yet, but so far I'm impressed. Not real quiet, but not real loud either. Someone will have to log on and prove me wrong, but I'm saying for now this is a great deal!

Just came back from Staples. All the shredders where you could recycle the shredder are HUGE! Couldn't do it.

Instead I just sold my shitty shredder that I paid $3 for at goodwill to another guy who was going to buy the 12 sheet one full price for $10 bucks, then turn around and bought the smaller $50 shredder with the rest of my rewards points.

Used the $10 towards a replacement plan - does anyone have experience with this? I was convinced because the cashier said "they don't even want the product, just call and say it's 'defective' during the warranty period and they'll issue you a cash card."
