Working for cash...
Hello guys I have a question regarding working for cash and wanting to buy a house soon. I have two jobs, the full time one I work for cash. The other one is completely legal, taxes and everything is paid for. I also have an annuity which is about 1.5 times the amount I make from the part time job. I am married as well and she just got a teaching job last fall. It is part time but she is trying to move to a full time position.
I plan on talking to a mortgage lender sometime in the next week or so. Any ideas on what I can do to increase my chances of getting approved. My credit is fairly decent around 700 last I checked. Hers is lacking though, she never had or did anything to increase her credit in college etc. When asked what I do I will only tell him about the part time job I have, and that I am trying to help him get his business going.
On a side note. Whats the best thing to do with the cash I do recieve? Do you ever put it in the bank or do you dig a deep hole in your yard and hide it til you need it?
