Low cost quality headphones with a good bass

I'd directly go buy a Bose if they had a deal. However they're pretty much the same price almost anywhere.

And I don't know much about the other brands.

I have been using this mdr v700, it is a good one , but one thing bothers me a lot is it hurts when you use it more than an hour.. Earcups are too tight.

I was researching other Sony Brand headphones to see what kind of a deal I could find.. Here is a few;

Bose SUCKSSSSSS. They produce marketing, not headphones.

The absolute best deal on good headphones right now is Koss DJ1Pro, if you don't mind the long cord. They easily have $150 sound, and can go up against the real headphone companies like Audio Technica, Denon, Ultrasone, AKG, etc.

It's been long time since, so let me repeat the question for today. What are the good quality, bass, noise cancelling headphones lately with a reasonable price. I have a friend bought the beats for $400. Do they really worth the price?

I'm looking for the ones around or less than $100 though. Any other suggestions from experienced users please?
