Any one has trouble using bluetooth mouse with win7?
This problem has been bothering me for a while now.At my work place three of my colleagues have the exact same problem. Their laptops are from Dell from Latitude E4310 to XPS (not sure about the model but it's a pretty expensive model - like precision workstation type). The problem with the bluetooth mouse is that AFTER pairing and using for about a month, the mouse would lose connection and at the beginning they would still become connected after re-pairing. However after a couple of weeks without several similar disconnecting-repairing events the mouse just doesn't work any more. All bluetooth mice were from Dell as well (Dell bt traveling mouse) When I tried to remove the bluetooth mouse icon under windows 7 (it happened to both 32 and 64 bit win7) "Devices and Printers", the removing process ended prematurely. It first showed a warning about if I remove the input device I might not be able to control the computer and then once I clicked "OK" a window with a time progression showed up for less than a second and disappeared. The mouse icon is still there. This was done under both the normal user (the user who first paired the mouse) and the administrator account. If this problem only happened to one computer or one mouse, it wouldn't be such a big deal, but now three mice and three laptops all have the same problem. After trying changing the batteries inside the mice and updating the bluetooth driver for windows 7 with no luck, I think it's time to try my luck here. I haven't tried using safe mode to remove the mouse icon neither have I used "bluetoothview" (from the other thread here) to check out what's going on with the system. Any suggestions? This is due to the retardedness of posters and answering posters in general. thank you, have a nice day. |

One of the things I find with Dell bluetooth devices is that you need to make absolutely sure that there is nothing blocking the line of site to where the key is plugged into the machine or the device that gives you line of site between the mouse (or keyboard) and that source device. They also need very strong batteries, so it's good to use the power off buttons on them when not in use.
Many times, with a mouse, it appears not to work, but if you move it vigorously/and/or then press the spacebar on the keyboard, it will come back and work fine. Get Ccleaner Slim with no toolbar [ccleaner.com] You will still need to uncheck all the extra shortcuts you don't need . . . Be sure to update before running it.
Get Malwarebytes free edition [cnet.com] Be sure to update before running it. Get SuperAntiSpyware free edition (SAS) [cnet.com] Be sure to update before running it. |
