[QUOTE=Surfperth;40155169]I received 10,000 point after my first purchase. After spending $500 and paying the bill, I emailed AMEX using topic Membership Rewards Program and sub-topic Points balance. I advised that I signed up for 50,000 and two years no annual fee and that I had only received 10,000 points. I received an email back saying I was eligible and that he expedited the 40,000 points remaining. They are sitting in my account waiting for use![
As of May 30
[QUOTE=m124;39974383]Just in case the 5894 does not work for us, here is another bonus from another site:
"75,000 points after spending $1,000 in the first three months and first year no fee. Bonus #5985"
May 24
[QUOTE=dskum23;39834595]I don't think so.. I called 1-800-AXP-EARN (297-3276) last night, 5/23, at 9PM EST and got the 75k code applied no problem. The lady on the phone already knew the promo ID for the 75k(ID: 5894).

[QUOTE=jikei;39762359]Success after my 2nd call..first call my phone dropped before the representative could fully assist me. Called 1-800-528-4800 (picked membership rewards) .. I was very nice (how are you this evening, etc, didnt't get mad)
Told the guy that I called previously and the lady told me that my account was under a different bonus code for 10k, and that that was not what I signed up for. I explained I signed up for 5894 and it was 75k MRP. He asks what the original offer was, and how it differed from what I wanted, etc. He says that it's all automatic and it should just post the right offer, and I explained again that my account was not SETUP for the correct code, and that it would not post correctly and I just want this on record as I signed up for 5894 for 75k and not what is on my account for 10k. Some more back and forth and he finally says hold on and puts me on hold for about 3 minutes, be homes back and says OK. Your account is on record as wanting 5894, for 75k, and that after I make a $500 purchase within 3 months and PAY the bill, the 10k will post, to call back and they will give me the remaining 65k from offer code 5894 and that it was on record on my account.
I guess him putting me on hold was him actually changing something, as he KIND of repeated all of that previously, but when he came back on, he was very sure of what he was saying
[QUOTE=slickdakine;39758403]Ok all,
This is what I know...there are at least 2 customer service call centers. One is in INDIA and the other is in AMERICA. The emails denying people are coming from India, along with the phone calls made to the rewards department. The people in India are very good at saying NO. The people in the India center have "no power" to make things right. In order to get the 50K you have to call the AMERICAN call center. To do this call the number on the back of your card and say the key word "CANCEL". This will take you to the cancellations department. Explain to them the terms you signed up under and that AMEX changed those terms when you got the card in the mail. The people in this department on all the calls I've made are in the American call center and can fix things. They can't do the 2 years free, but they can give you the 50k or more in points...

People, a way to assure the 50k bonus is send them a security message when login your AMEX account online.
