Isn't that the sale price for those items though? There's no doubt you would receive the $5 in that case.
Well .....yes it is. But right now it isn't working for others EVEN on sale price.

Yesterday... I remember telling folks to buy 3 Stouffers at $4.99 + Birds Eye at $1.99 = 3 folks did not get the catalina. So............. even on sale price, is it just not printing for some and is for others?

Sorry it's difficult to read...

There is no chat thread for Kroger, so....

I spoke to a customer service person at Kroger today. She's the asst customer service manager.
I had two issues, one for the current ad: 1) Why does a Huntsville area ad (good only in Huntsville) save Save 50% Del Monte Tomatoes, save 54¢ or more. If it's a Huntsville ad, the price should state 74¢ or more (so we actually know what price one can is) as every store I've been to (which is 3) have the cans at 74¢. To me this is false advertising, as the ad implies for this one item that the price is 54¢. She physically left the service desk to go hunt the price down for a rain check. Really? Can't you just put 50% off on the rain check? She laughed and said her cashiers aren't that smart to figure out what 50% off would be. (her words, not mine).
Next weeks ad: I told her I'd seen the ad. How will Kroger prove or disprove someone actually loaded an e-Q to their card.
She told me she thinks as a customer service rep, next week will be a nightmare that she doesn't want to live. Folks will be angry with customer service when their stuff doesn't come off appropriately.
(I've had a Tampax Pearl eQ not come off before, and I spent almost 3 weeks! emailing customer service to get it fixed... way too much hassle...they made me scan in my receipt and send it (duh, don't you have access to receipts if I give you the number on the receipt?) then they wanted proof that I bought the 40 ct, so they wanted me to snail mail the UPC (huh? nope, you won't reimburse me for a stamp, but I can cut off the UPC and scan it in and send you the scan) Good Grief! I normally don't use eQs at all, even if a freebie due to the issues I had in the past).
When I asked her if next week was a mega sale, she said no: it's a e-Q sale.

I know . .. frustrating. The gal Dana who got it, she said she got (6) Birds Eye in Trans 1, last day of mega and got it. Then did 2 subsequent each with (3) bags. Did not get anything.

She has since gotten it for buying Ore-Ida and VDK fish but then I thought Stouffers was part of it (it is???!!) and $4.99 x 3 + a bag of Birds Eye should pump out a $5. SO FRUSTRATING. But, my store has a huge sign, just in front by the registers so if it doesn't work i can go "see??!" We'll see. I'll try the penny trick to see if 2 boxes + 1 BE print, if not then I"ll throw on a third.

So I tried about 6 different combinations with Ore Ida, Vandekamp, and Gortons Fish - and at least at my store it is on the sale price NOT shelf price like last year. I won't complain because they are still a good price but not the HOT deal like last year.

I know we have Del Monte on sale this week. I think it's cheaper in your region than ours.

Del Monte Southwestern Tomatoes, B1G1 FREE, Print [icgrouplp.com]

Up to $1.29... printed 2 per computer (have to log in, register, then print). After cat for us it's less than a dime a can.

First time it told me NONE avail; log out, back in, print two.
Was all excited to get my .10 tomatoes, but the store I went to only carried 1 variety of del monte tomatoes (stewed).

For next week, please post/share your issues so that we are informed consumers. I'm sure there will be plenty of issues that arise.

Problem with this whole Kroger mess is that the employees know even less than we do!! I still blame that crazy Extreme coupon show for this. Every since Kroger participated in that crazy show they have screwed those of us who try to coupon fairly!!!

At some point though, we have to quit blaming the show and just face the fact that Kroger sucks. laugh out loud

Nono I just can't wrap my brain around this upcoming sale. Not only is it going to require a lot of extra planning for those of us who are used to couponing, but what about the population of shoppers who don't have a computer or use the internet? My grandmother shops at Kroger every week and she doesn't have a computer. I feel it's a bit discriminatory for folks who don't use the internet. And then, I am sure there is a very large percentage of shoppers who do not coupon, but shop when there are Mega sales, who are going to assume they are getting the advertised price simply because they have a Kroger card. I hope if this is the nightmare that we all think it will be, that Kroger learns their lesson.

Or don't even know about eq's or quite understand the fact that you actually have to go online to load them to your card - i.e. that they aren't automatic!
