2011 LG - Panasonic - Samsung Plasma Price Tracking Master Thread

Deal Details

Piggybacking off last year's Samsung thread, I'd like to generate a wiki for the 3 major plasma brands for 2011. Most of the manufacturers place restrictions on pricing and don't allow online retailers to show prices until final checkout. This thread will allow us to weed through those restrictions and find the best current prices.

I am much more informed with pricing on the higher end models for all 3 manufacturers, but admittedly, I could use some help on the lower end.

Any help keeping the wiki current is appreciated. I will do my best with what I have already documented on some of these models, but again, I do not have info on every model.

I see the LG 50pv450 for sale at Amazon, through Video&Audio Center, for $725. With football season right around the corner and sales of this HDTV being right around $700 - 750 most of the time, I'm thinking of pulling the trigger.
Does anyone know of a comparable HDTV in the $700-750 range, or should I just go for the LG?

Thanks,
ZZ

The LG's seem good but beware that people complain about lag on their plasmas when playing video games and such. I don't know if that is important to you or not.

The longer you wait the more likely prices will come down as newer models come out.

It depends on what you're looking for. I started the Samsung plasma price tracking thread last year and was watching prices closely for nearly the whole year. Random models would go on sale randomly. No 50% off type stuff, but you might save yourself a few hundred more if you get lucky and a model you'd be happy with comes up for sale. Or you may end up like me and waiting forever because your targets never go on sale... I finally pulled the trigger on an open box. It arrived cracked, so then it got replaced with a brand new one.
