The product description is WRONG, please be sure you want a 420HC steel knife. This knife is NOT 440a steel, serrated, or black coated.

I think the difference between the steel is a little over exaggerated.
Sure 440a has a higher carbon content leading to a sharper (but also usually more brittle) edge, but this also means that many people have trouble getting a fine edge during sharpening.
420HC still holds an edge just fine, so for an average person with average sharpening equipment, the 420HC would actually be beneficial. You'll just have to sharpen it once and a while, but sharpening will be a much quicker exercise than with 440a.

Bought this thing about a month ago for $35. Totally worth it, and couldn't recommend it higher. Great edge, lovely finish and feels good in the hand. Also, the area next to the finger notch works great for opening bottles of beer.

it's the lowest price I have ever seen on black blur! cheaper than my kershaw leek.

 my Ken Onion Kershaw knives. I had a beautiful little red-and-black Chive [amazon.com] that fell out of my pocket about a year ago (my fault, I didn't clip it on, just had it loose with my keys - didn't notice it was gone until a few hours later & went back over my steps but never found it) that I've been trying to replace ever since. I can't bring myself to pay $75-90 for one though... hopefully this Blur is a suitable replacement.The SpeedSafe is the best feature of these knives IMO. You can snick them open like a switchblade with one hand, no problem. Awesome knives. Thanks OP, repped. Un cul vu n'est pas perdu.
