My issue is the link takes you directly to the cart with item added. When you click on the product, or search for it froms vanns.com, it is listed at $179.99 and out of stock.

The only available ones are Open-Box returns, and those are priced at $125. I'm worried these may be open box items (couldn't find any details in order confirmation).

Can you tell us how you got it at $80 added to the cart?

EDIT: it seems like the link is from shareasale.com. anybody with any info on it? described as "pay-per-click" etc. site...

There was a link to a "E-mail me a better price". I put in my e-mail, and they sent me a link (which I posted in the OP), that makes the price $79.77. It is showing out of stock now though.

Thanks for he quick reply. Yea, the product page you linked to is the same, but now the Open-Box price has dropped to $90. It was $125 literally 5 minutes ago, hmm.

It shows out of stock, but when i ordered one, it was out of stock then, as well.

My only worry is if it's new or open-box...

If you were able to order one for $79.77, with the link I provided, it is definitely Brand New, In Box. Since Vann's is now out of stock on this player, I'm not sure whether they will be able to get any more in from the manufacturer/supplier since Samsung's new D model series is now out.

Worst case, you can try calling Vann's and maybe they will work out a deal with you on the new D series 5500 model. Keep in mind, Electronics Expo is selling the D series model for ~$108, so unless they can beat that... pass.

Yea, I was planning on communicating via email to have in writing it's a new item. Thanks for the price advice on the updated model as well, will keep that in mind.
