Time Warner Cable TV/Internet "Re-bundling" Savings ~ YMMV ~
First off, I am located in Dallas, Texas, as this may be regional.
My monthly Time Warner bill has slowly been creeping up, so I decided to call in to see if I could consolidate my services to lower my bill. Here is my current service set-up:
HD-DVR
Digital Cable Service
Road Runner w/ Power Boost (20mbps)
Additional HD Box
I pay $129.53 after taxes for the above. After calling in, my new bundled price is $96.88 after taxes for the next 12 months. Here's what I did:
1. Called 972-742-5892
2. Told automated system I wanted to "upgrade my services"
3. Let the rep know that my bill was getting too high and I wanted to lower my bill otherwise I would have to cancel my service.
4. The rep immediately mentioned he could "re-bundle" my services, keeping them exactly the same, but at a better price.
5. After 3 minutes of dead silence, he came back on the line and mentioned that he was able to lower my bill to $96.88 after taxes, keeping my services the same.
Once again, I realize this is YMMV, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to let others know. It was hassle-free and I didn't have to haggle with anyone.

. TWC in upstate NY has been calling the bluff on customers threatening to leave, etc. The conversation has ended for me with, 'alright, when would you like me to schedule your service disconnect'? I HATE TWC.
