what did you want to run / do on your desktop? It sounds like this is overkill for you if all you want is to be able to play your music loud and strong and have the windows media player visualizations run smoothly Stick Out Tongue

actually no the free xbox deal from dell only has preconfigured computers the 8300 with the "free xbox" is a i5 with no monitor configured the same with i7 and 24" monitor it's about $1548 almost $560 more

Graphics card way too weak for gaming (HD5450), and the highest one you can upgrade to is only a HD5770...still weak by modern standards.

If you want to play modern games at 1920x1080 I'd look for something with at least a GTX 460, GTX 560 or Radeon HD 6850

You can easily build a much better desktop than this AND buy a 24" monitor for less money than this dell. My desktop, with a 4.4 GHz 2500K, 8GB RAM, 80GB Intel G2 SSD, 1TB secondary HDD, GTX 460 768MB, Corsair TX650 PSU, etc, only cost about $700 to build.
