You can also choose one with a 500GB 7200rpm HD instead for $50 less. I think all the other specs are the same, need to double check...
Just go here: IdeaPad Y560p models [lenovo.com] Pick the 4th model from the left, customize, review&add to card, then enter coupon: USPY529526 Total = $799.00 Last edited by moSom; 05-27-2011 at 01:56 PM.. |

http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrar...hpfb00963& (There is also a separate ad with ThinkPad discounts, but they are not nearly as hefty as these IdeaPad discounts.) To be honest, though, you can spec the IdeaPads a LOT higher for a lot less. Most of the ThinkPads max their video cards at the 4200m, whereas the IdeaPads go up to the 6550m (a huge difference, if you're doing gaming or graphics work). There are some pretty good reviews of the IdeaPad online at YouTube, where they do a pretty good job of discussing the pros and cons. Mostly people seem to think the IdeaPad is overall very nice, with the main (small) complaints being a low viewing angle on the screen, and a slightly flimsy keyboard. Hope that helps. (I personally am a ThinkPad fanatic, but I am purchasing one of the y460p models in this sale, because the ThinkPads are just too damned expensive for far inferior specs.) Thanks
I have been playing around with the numbers for the last few weeks. I have it narrowed down between a Lenovo and HP(Definately leaning towards Lenovo). My specs are: i5(sandy), 4gb(or more), 500-7200 hd, 14", minimum Intel hd3000. I am leaning towards these Lenovo Z470 i5-2410, 8gb, 750/5400HD, Intel 3000, 14" $679 PS, do you think it is neccessary to get 1080p on a 14" screen? LenovoY460p i5-2410, 6gn, 500/5400HD, Rad HD6551, 14-$679 HP dv6-4052nr, i7-2630qm, 4gn 500/5400HD, I-3000, 15.6 $679 Problem with the HP is it's at frys and Don't know if it is an instore only deal. Or is 1366x768 enough? Last edited by mptoledo; 05-27-2011 at 06:01 PM.. |
