The coke one was very much so Brick's fault for not implementing the limit to 2 per print. In fact many people redeemed codes and printed 100s. That was something that bricks screwed up on, and so they sent a cease and desist because they weren't willing to reimburse.

The coupon didn't necessarily have to be shared for it to be put to halt... I remember people printing 100s alone without the sharing part. Same thing with Sobe, but Sobe was good, they just let it fly.

The fact that Bud doesn't come to clarify why it was considered fraud is a bit annoying. Bunnies said she checked her verify codes and it was for something else not even pictured. I threw all of mine out so I can't check mine.

I bought 2 of the PFs, ultra black and clear, it was the last clear one so I couldn't help myself.

He seemed astonished that they made a big deal over it and embarrassed you. It was rather cute actually. They are such nutcases at that store...honestly. No sign on the wine stating to get the coupon from up front so how will they be giving them out? Makes you wonder... ETA: Hannaford says on their FB page that they will honor the meat coupons through the 24th, same as the produce coupon. Wish I'd found more telegrams Sunday...two had the coupons filched though, lol.

I had gone to the other one to get some things and felt I was being followed/watched. Figured I was just paranoid until my 12 year old asked me the same thing. Oy! Oh well, I am doing nothing wrong so they can follow me all the way to the moon if they want. I am glad the kid wasn't saying anything bad, I didn't think he was, I just thought it was silly that other people saw it and mentioned it. I knew there were other customers circled around watching though as I saw them all. It was quite embarrassing at the time. They are off their rockers for sure though, the employee I dealt with at least (and you too, tho I think it is the same dude).

By the way Purp, I meant to tell you that I have a few of the $3 coupons that you were looking for so you could get ham. You can have them. Do you want me to drop them in the mail tomorrow or meet you somewhere for them? I have a crazy schedule this week with school being out but will be in Portsmouth several times. We could meet in the wine aisle at Market Basket LOLOLOL

I stopped at both stores, hoping to find any. Neither had a sign stating there was a coupon, you know how they do the beer signs? Normally its the price of the beer, then the deduction for the coupon (usually for something else wyb beer such as meat, chips, etc) then it says "coupon at register. I figured if they are hoarding them they'd make one of those signs for the wine. All of the endcaps have the price after hangtag on the sign....but none for Turning Leaf.

Only the poor voters don't realise that the governor's tax plan gives an average tax break of $83 to families earning between $28K and $48K, while Maine's wealthiest 1% (those making more than $363K) get an average $2,770. Cost of his tax changes to the state: $203 million, more than half of which goes to people earning $120,000+. But, don't believe me, go here [mecep.org] and read for yourself. There's a link to download a copy of the report. I urge every Maienr to read it, and tell your representative and senator that you DON'T SUPPORT the governor's plan!!!

Wow $83? Is that supposed to be helpful? I really think they need to dis-allow legislature that helps their own tax bracket or something...I mean of course they pass tax breaks for themselves...greedy bastards.

That's absolutely the problem -- the devil's in the details, and they never tell you what those details are. "Do you want to lower taxes?" Who would say no?! Unless you understand that lowering taxes will cost the state $203 million, and the vast majority of us get NOTHING out of it, and the costs simply shift to the local level so we end up paying more.

Kind of like the nonsense about state retirement system. The problem is the unfunded liability. So what is the governor proposing? That employees pay 2% more and the state pay 2% less. But that's going forward, and they're offsetting amounts -- so there's nothing extra to reduce the unfunded liability! He just wants to reduce what the state has to pay so that he can fund these tax cuts. And I've herad some comments about "cushy retirements" -- the average state retirement pension is something like $18,000. Not going to be taking a trip around the world on that income, lovey!

Not a trip around the world, but considering that DH makes $25k working 40hrs a week plus some extras its not bad for sitting on your butt. I've said the same thing about some of these people with multiple retirements. I live down the street from a guy who has military retirement, postal service retirement and 2yrs away from a third, private retirement package. And once he hits that he can still work since he's young enough.

I hear you. The point I was trying to make is that it's not a lavish lifestyle with this one pension, like he's making it sound, for the msot part these people spend their entire working life to earn that amount (so it's not multiples). Very true. I've decided most politicians are just our for their extended 15mins of fame...its their chance to make sure their lives are easier down the road, providing they stay in state or at least in the US.

I just don't see how anyone watching the state/nation's poor can even think about the wealthy. Once we can all afford to eat and pay our basic bills maybe then we can help the snobs with their outrageous property taxes on their summer home worth 2mil...

It's tough; especially since the wealthy are the ones with the money to lobby politicians to get what they want. It seems like this so called "recovery" is rather just hitting the rich and its not being felt in the lower to middle classes. DS is probably having his slowest springs I can remember and this is usually when he gets most of his money. And the rich steal from the poor (and middle class that is disappearing) through taxes and inflation. Yep, definitely see it now; especially everything I passed at S&S the other day seemed to be a higher price than a few months ago.

Speaking of "recovery" there has to be a breaking point sometime in the near future where government will have to have mass layoffs. It's just too inefficient as it is. By no means are the Federal deficits sustainable.

All the stories DS has been telling me riding the T just remind me of how screwed up the government is. Even one homeless man was that aggressive to come into a commuter rail coach between the time they called it for boarding and time of departure to beg for money as he needed money to go to a homeless shelter. Thing is, the fare that he said he needed was more than the max fare needed to get to the last stop on the line! To boot, when he thought the train was moving but it wasn't, he really panicked and ran off the train but still was able to get all the cars without the conductors noticing. With how much the T asks to ride the rail, this is unacceptable, as much as I know there's some needy people out there. And with the little he rides the subway, he notices quite a bit of people that skip out of paying a fare by entering the back door on the green line trolley at the stops they collect the fare through the farebox. When the operator asks the person to come up front and pay their fare, they don't do it. So, yes, as high debt the T carries, they don't collect all their fares. But at least DS got a free ride once since the conductor never collected the ticket.

Plus, the post office is another story. One of them in my area is always known for having long lines (at least a 15 minutes wait) and they got rid of 2 of their 5 stations! Yet, they have other redundant locations that is inconvenient when you think of parking that they still operate but would be a good opportunity to consolidate.

We're working on cutting the cable bill. Looking at either hooking up a Roku box to the TV and streaming TV through the internet via Netflix or Hulu Plus for $9 a month and/or a Verizon triple play package at $54.99 (but I think this may only include local channels but also includes DSL and landline phone). And that's instead of paying $90 for just cable to Comcast. Don't think watching the shows when we want to would be a bad thing, especially with how much pure profit TV subscriptions are.

janice I feel your pain! Luckly u dont have to deal w him drinking and driving atleast. I am always harping my lil bro n lil sis to call me no matter the time if they need me to get them anywhere.
I feel your pain my lil bro buys nothing and always eats the 1 thing I buy special for just me. And he never breaks anything or pees on the bathroom floor I just cleaned! (i know gross right!!!)
I can just see all the troubles to come once u open the pool, u better lay down the law now. PLus u dont want booze around so easy w the HS girls. Dont want them getting any ideas....
