As I was saying in the other listing, I can get either one right now, although the 3100 is in the box and much closer to me. Since you now own both, any thoughts on which one I should get if I'm only getting one? Thanks

I wish they carried the SD1400 at my store but they only had the A3100 IS. I got it home and they sold me the display model without telling me that. They gave me no discount, didn't bother to clean it up, and the girl who helped me was spacy as i'll get out. Now I want to return the darn thing because it is also dented in the front, a small one that I didn't notice until I got home. I however don't want to pay the 15% restock fee so am thinking about getting the $119.00 14.2 megapixel Samsung camera instead. Any thoughts?

I'm thinking about going to RS today to take a look. I currently have a Sony Cybershot DSC-T500 that's 10.1 megapixels, 5x zoom, and can take 720p HD videos. I don't know much about cameras...but could someone tell me how this one would compare? I see that the MP is higher, but less zoom and I don't see anything about video... thanks in advance for your help!

Stick with the one you have. This is a simple point-and-shoot with good image quality, but it only has 4x zoom and 640x480 max video.

Nice find. Going to go try picking one up tomorrow. There is also a 10 off of 40 coupon metioned in this post. Going to see if I can apply it to make it slicker. Pretty funny that Best Buy is having it on sale for 80 currently.

I actually went and got this camera because my Sony one is officially dead. I wasn't able to get the $10 off $40 coupon, but I got the 20% off Foursquare check-in offer to bring the final total to $57.05. But, the guy working there really pissed me off...

The guy working there found the camera in the back and brought it out for me, but said that it was originally a display camera. I asked if there was a discount for an open box item but he said no. That's fine, I asked if they participated in the Foursquare 20% off offer and he said yes. I checked in on my HTC Hero and showed it to him, but he said he needed a code (which Foursquare did not show). He looked at my phone and said "An HTC Hero huh." He had to call his boss to get the okay to give me the discount, which thankfully worked out okay.

As he was ringing me up, he said "You really don't want to skimp on..." and motioned to my phone. Then he had the audacity to say to me "Well I can tell you like cheap things" as he motioned at the camera I was purchasing. Yes, I don't mind buying a camera on clearance + a 20% off Foursquare offer because my current needs are a cheap everyday camera that gets dropped into my purse and lugged around everywhere. I take pictures of everything...every meal I eat out I take pictures of every dish. I won't mind if I lose it or someone spills beer on it or if it gets dropped into the lion's den at the zoo. I do love photography and if it happens that my future needs are a nice expensive camera to take beautiful photos with, I'll be purchasing a DSLR...but I certainly won't be purchasing it from that jerk face.
