Thread Details

I think this would be a great outlet to post our concerns, rants, etc.....on our WAGS experiences due to low stock, new ECers, & S&Gers.

For what it's worth I do believe that low stock is more of an issue than S&Gers, but they and new ECers are definitely playing a huge role in the issues that we are all encountering. Frown

Not sure where the confusion is but I DID NOT use the Revlon coupon on non-Revlon items. I bought the Revlon Beauty Tool which is what the coupon was for.
i wasn't making any comment about you or any transaction that you did or didn't do. i don't see a problem with buying 2 gillette disposables and 2 proglide gift sets and using 2 $1/1 mq's and 2 $10 proglide mq's. i would not use the $2 revlon beauty tool coupon unless I had $5 of revlon beauty tools in the transaction. under no circumstances would i use a crest whitestrips coupon on an oral b toothbrush because the toothbrush had a whitestrips sample attached to it.

Is this the wags that's suppose to be huge with salon services/sushi bar/etc? I'm curious when you go if they have a bigger grocery section. My Big store (26,000 sq. ft) hasn't opened yet.

This is the first year I haven't gotten the flu shot and lately when checking out I've encountered really really sick cashiers coughing continually, sneezing,etc... I normally wouldn't be bothered by it but I haven't gotten my flu shot yet. The other night while shopping at 2 wags stores there were so many sick people walking around (to the point where I could actually smell sickness) that I ended up leaving the 2 stores. I guess I'm ranting mostly because the other night at a Target the young man cashiering literally had snot running down his nose, and after he wiped his nose at least 5 times with his hands and arms I finally blew up!! Another employee was walking by and I demanded that she get some antibacterial disinfectant. The young man had handed me 2 giftcards and had denied the use of 1 of my coupons and handed it back to me and I was completely grossed out. When the female employee came with the purell a manager came with her and I asked why a sick person would be handling food items, and tender. I pointed out old napkins next to the register that had his goobers in it and asked why he was cashiering. The young man said "I can't help it if I'm sick" Anyway, they replaced him with another person but geesh what is going on with these stores?? The cashier next to us mouthed to me, "Thank you"
Anyway, I now understand why one of my walgreens from back home made it mandatory that all walgreens employees get the flu shot. I was missing one of the nicest BA's and saw her at a grocery store and she said she had been fired because she wouldn't get the flu shot. I felt sorry for her at the time but now understand after the last few days shopping amongst all kinds of sick people.
Another rant: Walgreens should have antibacterial wipes near the entrance to wipe carts!!

Quick novice Q: If I pay w/ points can I earn points? I have heard yes and no. I'm too much of a miser to chance losing points if I cannot.

TIA

Points can either be earned OR used on a transaction, but not both. If you use any, you will not earn any.

I was just in the Walmart thread reading about the fragrances and UGH!!!! Am I the only one, when in a room full of women and the stench (yes, STENCH), of intermingled perfumes and colognes is so overwhelming, I just want to throw up? Sick

I don't mind a HINT of cologne on men but geez, the deos and shampoos and makeup and bodywash ... everything these days is so overloaded with scent, does anyone really need cologne or perfume anymore? Dontknow

I have 2 nephews that I love dearly but good grief, they are odoriferous from cologne and BW and deo. And women? They are the absolute worst when spraying perfume. You are supposed to spritz the air lightly and walk through it, ladies, not bathe in it!
ooh, you got my blood boiling now!

My fav (NOT!) was a horrible woman on an overseas flight who felt it necessary to fragrance herself, liberally, in the cabin. With a spray.

It also baffles me: I've had the cable service at my house frequently, and those guys always have a lot of fragrance on. As did the appliance delivery guys.

Why do the home decor stores feel the need to fragrance their stores, heavily? The last item I bought there (not an item that should have been scented, in any way) smelled so bad, even after a month in my garage for decontamination, the smell was too much. They told me so many of their customers love the smell of the store. So I told them I literally get sick if I even shop at the store and all I got from them was the crazy-lady-stare. I'm really not overly fragrance sensitive, I just like unscented air.

I don't like perfumes either. They can bring on headaches. I was watching a program that talked about
perfumes and why that happens. In my church, they asked people to not add on the smell before coming to
church.....so I am not alone(or crazy) on this issue.

I haven't been in that area in at least a couple of years. Is the new wags in the old Borders
location? Is Amoeba still open? You can spend hours (days) in that store...

The other thing that drives me crazy is noise pollution. Why do some stores have their nasty music blaring so loud? I can't even think! No wonder they walk around with headsets to talk to one another.

This is the exact reason I never go in Bed, Bath and Beyond, the fragrance they use for those stores makes me gag.

I live in an older neighborhood and the homes have a little more space between them, than a lot of houses nowadays.

Couple of years ago, I had a next door neighbor that I could tell you when she was leaving the house. I could literally smell her as she came out her own door.

My OB/GYN's office does that, too. Country music blasting when you're a human Muppet is just really weird.

mandatory EEK! thought that is was available, mandatory... I would QUIT! seriously on principle alone.

that being said wags employees get 6 six days a year... then they get in trouble... might tell you why some work, even when sick.
think about it, you have a kid, they cannot go to daycare or school sick, as in sent home.
so you spend the two days with them... you have two kids add another two days before they can think of going back. they cannot stay home alone. so around rolls Christmas time, you cannot afford the pay loss, you can make it through an 8 hour shift... so you go

Wow, really? I find the mandatory part very disturbing. I understand wanting to control the problem, but making in mandatory is just...grr.
I agree, I would make a big stink about this if I were an employee... and I want to make a big stink even tho I am not an employee!

Yes, I believe that was the book store location. It is in the northwest corner of the intersection. Very Hipster looking. Haven't gone in yet --- banner says 24 hr, free parking with validation.

Yes, Amoeba is still open.

I meant to go this morning but I got caught up in CVS & chasing blinkies at Ralphs.

Just too many stores in LA...wave
