Thread Details

I think this would be a great outlet to post our concerns, rants, etc.....on our WAGS experiences due to low stock, new ECers, & S&Gers.

For what it's worth I do believe that low stock is more of an issue than S&Gers, but they and new ECers are definitely playing a huge role in the issues that we are all encountering. Frown

I know the objective when reselling is to get every penny you can, but when the item was free (as was Scope), isn't 2 bucks still a pretty good profit? Huh
Actually, my objective isn't to get every penny. I do a neighborhood sale with no advertising or signs. If I didn't offer great prices and great service, my customers wouldn't come back week after week. Yes, I want to make a profit but I also want to do some good
for the community. Many of my customers are struggling to make ends meet and the sale helps everybody out. On Scope, $2 is a pretty good profit but I also think it's too low to sell it for. I'm not always going to be able to get Scope for free and once I price it at $2.00, that's what my customers will expect to pay from now on.

Aw, hell, once we go over that fiscal cliff and they're paying 5 bucks for a gallon of gas and 6 bucks for a gallon of milk, I don't think they'll bat an eye at $2.50 for a bottle of Scope. laugh out loud

Is it too late to impeach every congressman and senator? My only two job requisites are someone who can balance a checkbook and living in the real world.

I say that we make a swap. Wags management can run the country and our government can run wags. In a year, wags will be broke but our country will be going strong and you will be able to use RR's to pay your taxes.

Smoke alarm battery is chirping and woke me up. All these batteries that I have and I can't find one dang 9Vshake head.

According to the news last night, my home state of SC has the fourth lowest in gas taxes, at .34 per gallon. Our governor, Nikki Haley, assures us that we will not be seeing an increase so that we can fix the numerous potholes, etc. The next story was milk prices will go to $8 a gallon because we will revert back to the Agricultural Act of 194X where prices will fluctuate with inflation. Maybe I should start stashing gas and milkWink.

I agree with doubleq7. Its what its worth. I have same prices as you do, and same problem with Scope. Slow at $2.50, made it 2/$4. but people don't read my signs that much. Still ask how much, etc. I price each item and on the Scope had sign on the crate. Will have to go down to flat $2 if it doesn't sell better in Spring, but I hate to do that.

Maybe we need 'term limits' on Congress. Lock 'em up, feed them bread and water till they come to some agreement. Even a short term agreement while they seriously figure out how to stop spending.

Isn't it ironic that in the midst of this fiscal crisis, Obama approved raises for Congress and Biden? Also removed the pay freeze on gov't workers.

I love the points. Personally I think if people would quit fighting them and learned to think in a different strategy, they would see the advantages. But honestly I'm sorta happy so many are un-willing as it has really made for more available product each week.
Agreed. I also like not having to get up at 8 on a Sunday morning and run to Wags because $40 in RRs are going to expire unless I pay tax to roll them on some useless FARR butt paste. The points can just sit there, waiting to be unleashed. Cool

Whew...today was a great DD day! I was planning on a relaxing day before the marathon tomorrow but Walgreens just couldn't let that happen.

Thanks to everyone for sharing the deals in the Deals threads.

Good luck tomorrow.

But it's not "worth" $2.50 if no one will pay that. You might be better off with a little creative marketing like 4 for $10 and make them a deal to take 4 for $9 or throw in a "free" toothpaste at the 4 for $10 figure.

You also have to decide how much it's worth to you to store it and haul it wherever week in/week out. Scope's heavy and takes up a lot of space.

As far as our politicians. I just wish someone would explain to me how they become so power hungry and afraid of not being elected that they can completely lose sight of the little fact that we have to be able to pay for everything.

Switching gears ... I have seen this for sale at a couple of Wags - a Mr. Coffee coffeemaker that uses the K-Cups. It was $79.99 before Christmas and I have my eye on getting one the moment it goes on clearance (if it ever does). Has anyone bought this particular item? We have a big Keurig which we love and I'm a bit leery of the "off-brand". This would be a great item to burn some $10 RR, if you know what I mean ... Big Grin
