I think this would be a great outlet to post our concerns, rants, etc.....on our WAGS experiences due to low stock, new ECers, & S&Gers.

For what it's worth I do believe that low stock is more of an issue than S&Gers, but they and new ECers are definitely playing a huge role in the issues that we are all encountering. Frown

I saw one lady in Walmart one day with a big plastic tote full of peelies on rolls. Diapers, cookies, chips etc. I just stood and stared as she stuck them everywhere....
She was not a Walmart employee, she looked like she worked for another company like the ones who set up sample tables or something.
I should have walked up and asked her about it but it was like I was watching a pink zebra walking by, too stunned to speak.... all those peelies in that big box drool
I like to think I'm a pretty decent person, but there's a good chance in your shoes I would have grabbed the tote and ran like a madwoman.

I always thought the companies sent big rolls of them to the stores, but maybe there are reps who come out. Tearpads in stores around here are often just thrown on the shelf next to the product and not hung or displayed well. I know the blinkie companies have people who do it (or I think I know).

Oh, shoot! I didn't even see that. I know we are in the Wags thread but I was trying to think of places to get it cheap. What grocery stores do you have?

It was a one-time thing for sure. I have never seen another Peelie-person (aka Pink Zebra), I did see a blinkie lady once restocking the machines and putting up a new one in Albertsons so you are right.
Tearpads are hit and miss for sure, Some stores have them up and others I am sure just get tossed out cuz no one wants to mess with putting them up.

2L of pepsi, coke, etc. are part of the mega deal @ Smith's, $5 off WYB 10 items. They are $1.50 - $0.50 so $1 after mega.

Do you have any coupons for Pepsi etc 2L? It makes the soda go a little farther IMO and you could pick some up for pretty cheap w/ coupons. I bought a TON of Sierra Mist and I'm going to be making a drink w/ it for ours where you combine Sherbet and Sierra Mist (or Sprite or 7up etc) that's pretty yummy.

If you don't have any, or could use more, lmk bc I know I have $0.75/1 pepsi 2L (but I think for Pepsi X or Dragonfruit or something odd only) and I *may* still have some $1/1 Sierra Mist. Could RAOK them to you bc I DO NOT need any more soda.

You just have to watch where you type and make sure you're not typing in between the brackets that say [ QUOTE ] and [ / QUOTE ] (without the spaces tho).

Most companies have 'merchandisers' go to the stores and put out tearpads and peelies on their products. Some tearpads are part of 'shippers' (cardboard displays) which a lot of times end up in the trash but the product will be worked onto the shelves and the pads thrown our or put on the shelf.

I'm not sure exactly what Walgreen's is doing these days since about 4 years ago they went to an in-house set up.

hit multi-quote on every single post that you want to reply to, but on the last hit BOTH multi-quote AND reply.

If you snip a post, please leave the [quote= ] and [ /quote] at the end, or it can look like someone else was quoted.

the AM at my store said someone came in and put the clear 3/1 peelies on. said the vendor left the remaining roll with him, which he handed to me. woot

at walmart the other day, an elderly gentleman had an ID card that read 'Mars', the name of the company was 'Advantage'. he had a binder that indicated where he was supposed to put the peelies, he handed me 2. i said 'that's all you are going to give me?' lol. he was nice. but still only gave me 2. they were 1/1 any mars.

He actually worked for Advantage (merchandising company) who was contracted by Mars to do things for their company. Merchandisers normally will work for several different companies since most jobs aren't full time. It's actually a good job for a couponer. You get paid to be in stores and can look for peelies, tear pads and even shop (after you complete the job).

It;'s a good part time job if you get the right company. A lot of in and out of your car so if you have bad/extreme weather it can be a pain too.
