I think this would be a great outlet to post our concerns, rants, etc.....on our WAGS experiences due to low stock, new ECers, & S&Gers.

For what it's worth I do believe that low stock is more of an issue than S&Gers, but they and new ECers are definitely playing a huge role in the issues that we are all encountering. Frown

6/17 and 6/24 will be the 2-week test run.
My birthday is the end of june and we go camping for a week every year. I have been wondering if I might miss some hot MM but maybe it will be the same sales when I get back as when I left laugh out loud

I applied last year after I got my business management degree and I just got this email today!

Dear Applicant

Thank you for your application for the Walgreens Business Management Intern program.
We have designated 2012 as a year to redesign the Walgreens retail internship experience; therefore, we are not accepting applications at this time. We will be accepting applications for the summer 2013 program in September, 2012.

WAGS isnt the only screwed up company this year. Kraft is changing their name. They have one of the most recognised names and they are changing it...

Only the snack division and it has not been approved yet.

That's a relief.

Can you imagine the updated 80's commercial jingle if that were to happen?

Make some Mondelez International macaroni and cheese please. Please make some Mondelez International macaroni and cheese. It's nice and cheesy and it's really pretty easy so please make some Mondelez International macaroni and cheese.

Yuck

Dontknow Wags is losin' it. Considering my store had TWO of the mouth rinses that are on RR this week at open yesterday that doesn't bode well for my interest in shopping there with 2 week ads. My Wags mojo has been slipping...slipping...slipping. I'm thinking this might be a good time for me to cash out and wait to see what happens. I only have $20-ish RR and the next few weeks don't really offer items that I'm interested in. I have a couple rebate gift cards from monthly rebates that I can turn to if I decide to restart.

Well good news sorta, the 6/17 ad will have a new RR item that will not be in the 6/10 ad...............but it looks like lots of makeup & candy are the only other changers from 6/10 to 6/17!

Jumping back in for a minute and asking for help.
If anyone has had any experience w/medical malpractice attorneys in Texas, I would appreciate your pms. Recommendations -- or the opposite -- info of both types is welcome.
I am considering options as they relate to the recent death of my mother. I feel like I should at least ask a few questions.
I don't have any info with attorneys in Texas, but just wanted to extend to you my condolences on the loss of your Mother.

So sorry for your loss.

These 2 week ads will be running in my area in June. Only the front and back cover will change, the inside pages will stay the same for 2 weeks.
Should be interesting. Guess we'll see if it's good or bad. Could be a good thing if one needs to order q's at the last minute (i.e. an mq that comes out the same Sunday as the ad starts.)

I guess on the one hand, it's good. We'll all have more time to get the stuff we want. On the other hand, since the RR's expire in 2 weeks, what the hell are we going to roll them into, if you can't get another RR on the same product? Annoyed
Oh yeah, that part could be interesting.

hug There, there. We've got Mt. Hood, the Portland Rose Gardens, the Pacific Ocean, etc. etc. We will have to live without CVS.

(And, yeah, you know if they ever open stores here, I will be the first in line LOL!)

We have no internship jobs because we're not sure if even, we, the Management of Walgreens will be employed here next year.

My sentiments exactly. $1000 a day, 7 days a week. Leaves little room to sleep, eat... maybe get a cot in the Wags stockroom with a nutrients IV in your arm?

AFC has a link to a blog that has a pictorial example sent from corporate on the new point system. Aye Carumba...

Can't redeem until 5000 points. Oh boy, the average consumer is not going to like this...plus...It is not Senior Citizen friendly

I am going to need some kind of Rehab after September..life after Walgreens.

A confused company to say the least!!! OMG I think that is putting it nicely Tipper!!!LMAO

I mean i understand that they are in the business to make money as all businesses are. But you lost ES, that put a major dent in their profits. Now you want to turn away a big part of their sales (couponers). Don't get me wrong this points rewards system (I guess that is what we are calling it) might end up being good. But I can't see how it would be better than the current RR system.

They might be gasping for air by the time its all said and done.

I think Wags is trying too much too soon.
It reminds me of JCPenney's brilliant idea to get rid of coupons, and had those dumb commercials acting as if people hated them LOL. Now? when coupon use has doubled and is at the height of popularity? BTW, first quarter losses for JCP were HUGE.
Objectively, I can see JCP wanting to get rid of store q's, as no one is reimbursing them like MQ. What JCP failed to realize is they do make us got off our duffs and go in to their store.
But Wags RR definately brought people in, the average people, not just the stockpilers. Perhaps they will just put all the RR onthe first and last pages of the new 2 week ads. But I do agree that much of the middle of the Wags ad wasn't all that spectacular.
