On the news.....the pharmacy made a mistake with a child's Rx......the wrong one due to a similiar fist name
and last initial. Parents did not notice until they called the Dr office after noticing changes in their child.....wanted to see if they needed to change the Rx. The child was not harmed by the Rx taken.
Wags did not apologize and wanted them to pay for the correct Rx.
Now I think that is just wrong. Why wags did not do the right thing.....apologize, give them a GC to cover the cost plus extra.
Now they have bad publicity. Lost a customer for life. Others may choose to leave their pharmacy after watching this segment. What were they thinking.
I read that story yesterday and even though I think Wags had a lot of nerve to request ANY payment for either prescription, AND they owe the family a huge butt-kissing apology, I also think the parents should take some responsibility in this.
The mother just handed the original scrip over to her 14 yr. old son. Who does that????? My oldest son is 20 and off at college and whenever he picks up scrips for himself, I remind him every single time to look at the label, look at the pills, count the pills, make sure everything is as it should be.
I'm not saying she's a bad mom but she's definitely a careless one.
Some people need a sympathetic pat on the head ... with a hammer.
Yea. I read the Rx paper whenever I have to take something. But that is always a one-time drug. I can see how people who have a monthly refill would not look at it closely every single time. This may change that.
The news cast showed a website where you can get specifics on Rx's.....pill numbers and photos of what it should look like.
