DSL Modem - TP-Link TD-8817 $14.99 @ Fry's, B&M only
Fry's has the TP-Link TD-8817 DSL modem for $14.99 for most stores.
The Fry's web site http://www.frys.com/product/6074108 shows $29.99. When I pick up at the store, I was charged $14.99 + tax.
It's the latest revision V6 in black [tp-link.com], not the picture shown on Fry's web site.
My 8+ years old Westell is acting up and I need a new modem.
Please read the white manual titled "Please Read Before Proceeding", then the "Quick Installation Guide."
In less than 5 minutes, my DSL is up and running using TP-Link modem.
Hooked up PC to the modem, hit 192.168.1.1, enter admin / admin, follow the "Quick Installation Guide." Test connection. Succeed.
Then unplug PC's RJ45 cable, turn on router, connect PC to router. Off you go.
