Some pretty bad reviews lately, probably from a bad lot. It seems like all HDD manufacturers are having quality issues of late, there doesn't seem to be any brand that I feel confident in purchasing. Oh well, I'm in for one. I've always had good luck with WD drives, hopefully this isn't my first lemon...
Would these be RAID compatible or do I need the "BLACK" version. I'm looking at doing RAID 1 (faster reads + data protection) using the intel controller on my H67 sandybridge motherboard.
WD makes a special RAID version the RE series but they are much more expensive. It has TLER enabled as well as a longer warranty. However, I am not sure that the onboard RAID will take advantage of it so these should be fine.
