Excellent thanks for the information. Do they charge more for texting? Do you get a local phone number?

Keep in mind you have to activate this phone within 60 day to get triple minutes. I currently use this phone and I really like it.

Incoming and outgoing texts are 0.3 units. If you're sending or receiving an attachment (image), it's 1.0 units or more. It's 1 unit per minute (rounded up) for a voice call. Your phone number is local to the zip code when you activate it.

I've owned this phone on Tracfone for about a month and this is a good deal! The phone is a huge step up from Tracfone's past offerings. The touchscreen is a bit quirky at times (maybe it's me), and the mobile web is pretty slow still but maybe I just need to add a good app. But if you're primarily a voice caller / texter, it's very good.

It does have a virtual (onscreen) QWERTY keyboard when texting. And you can add a micro SDHC card (4 GB or less) to increase capacity (MP3, video, image).

The triple minutes are something never seen before to the best of my knowledge.
