Android app problems
Not sure if this is the right forum but I'm having problems running the SD android app I downloaded from the marketplace. It just hangs when is trying to download the deals and never seems to respond. I don't have a RSS reader installed, not quite sure how this whole process works.Anyone? |

 I just tried it and it works fine. Try uninstall and reinstall? I'm right 97% of the time. Who cares about the other 4%

Most problems of this nature with Android phones can be resolved by rebooting the phone.

I tried rebooting and nothing. I'll try uninstalling when I get home. Oddly enough the other shopping app I downloaded didn't work, either.

The slickdeals app is not officially supported and looks to just be a different way of viewing the RSS feed that is on the site already. There are tons of other better ways to view RSS feeds and I would use one of those. If these are the 2 programs that freeze then I would not worry about it too much. If others freeze continually then I would take action. |

I downloaded this one and tried it the other day, ended up killing it since I spend more time in the forums than on the front page anyway. What device are you using? Can't imagine that anything this simple would have compatibility issues, but it may be possible. Are you putting the wiget on your desktop or are you trying to just run it?
There may be something in your phone which doesn't allow it to run since it is active in the background and trying to do a data connect every few minutes. |
