WM is becoming on of the better coupon stores in my area. No gimmicks.

Dial BW was enough of a lure to make me walk into Walmart....... sometimes I'm sooooo weak. I've bought them at three stores with nary a problem. It will have to be a serious MM before I try a pricematching deal again though.

I don't like to get cash back, it just seems too "in your face", but I really couldn't think of anything I needed, spur of the moment. Their fresh meat and food isn't real impressive to me and most staples just get picked up as needed in my regular deals.

First two Walmarts I bought some chips, snacks etc. Third Walmart I was going to try for a Visa GC. Tried once before and was told it had to be a separate transaction and again tonight I was told the same thing. So, I don't know the trick for buying a GC in my full transaction. Asked if I could use a Walmart GC to buy a Visa and was told no to that as well.

I had just over $50 and wasn't in the mood to find stuff to waste it on, so I just went for it. Cashier was shooting me the look of death the whole time, as well as the two front line people standing to the side, purposely whispering loud enough for me to hear.......... but aside from the silent attitude, they did not hesitate to give me $50 in cash back. Have to admit, that was kinda fun!

I bought 4 J&J kits from one walmart and left around 30 or 40 on the shelf.I just wanted to try the coupon and use the O to cover a few things

The cashier refused to scan the noxema,nexcare or j&j coupons. She called a mgr over.

Young mgr looked at the coupons and said 'What's the problem?"

Cashier says, "The coupon value is more than the item,she is doing that for all of these"

The mgr had a befuddled look on his face and appears that he was unable to respond to cashier.

I decided to help the poor guy and point out that they have to accept the full value of the coupon, per their policy. The mgr, became a parrot at that point and echoed my statement,word for word.

Then the cashier, who obviously overlooked the bananas, bread and nectarines she scanned goes on to say

" If I accept these coupons, I will have to pay her !!"

The manager once again had no words, so I chimed in for him

"The coupon policy states that if the coupon goes over the item price then you pay the customer the overage"

and the manager went into parrot mode again and then left

Every coupon scanned and the O went to cover my fruit and bread and I paid the diffference and left

The next day all J&J kits were gone at this store.

Went to a different Walmart yesterday they had several J&J kits, dh also bought stuff for his truck .The cashier reads the q's, scanned the q's, and I paid the diffference and left, no issues. I wish my closest store was like this!!

I don't have the nerves or patience, or time yet to deal with O at my closest Hellmart, the one where I spoke for the mgr. This store is usually unfriendly and I feel that I will need to be fully prepared, mentally and physically to endure the wait,discussion and length of time it will take to undergo the completion of transaction from A to B to O.

This store knows how to drain the life out of you, without even using coupons.

~~~ I would respond..... but knowing you <sgtrazor> we have at least 1 more post.... followed by 1 more saying "I'm really done this time" ..... before you are ACTUALLY done ..... so I will wait to agree with you that Hellmart is where the soul goes to die
